RAISE is an association of restaurant industry leaders committed to taking the "high road" to profitability.
Through RAISE, restaurant owners learn about sustainable business models that champion living wages, basic benefits, fair promotion policies, among other "high road" employer practices as recipes for success, not impediments to profitability.
What is the High Road to Profitability? Taking the High Road to Profitability is an ethical, pragmatic and, we believe, profitable approach to doing business that benefits employers, employees, consumers, and the community. RAISE provides restaurant owners with a path to the High Road to Profitability. By taking this path, members can promote sustainable business practices for employees and consumers while boosting their bottom line.
The goal? A dynamic space where restaurateurs come together to raise industry standards so that employees work with dignity, consumers proudly support ethical practices, and restaurants do well by doing right. To date, we are more than 750 restaurants across the United States representing all sectors of the industry -- from fine dining to quick-casual.
Convened by Restaurant Opportunities Centers United (ROC), the leading restaurant workers' rights advocacy organization in the country, RAISE is changing the conversation about wages and labor practices for one of the largest and fastest-growing economic sectors in the country.
